The Whirlwind is a high performance, low maintenance, Vertical Axis Wind Turbine that is suitable for both domestic and industrial use. It can be used as a stand-alone device or it can easily be integrated with existing 24v or 48v solar or other installations.

Design and Manufacture of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines

The Whirlwind turbine is designed in the UK and manufactured in Spain using high quality materials. Unlike the conventional Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines, it can catch the wind from all directions and doesn't need to be pointed into the wind to start the blades turning. This makes it very suitable for gusty wind conditions.

The Whirlwind wind turbine is priced to be competitive in both the domestic and industrial markets where small vertical access wind turbines are indicated.

Safety features

If required, whirlwind can be supplied with a controller that monitors output and controls any over-charging of batteries or excess wind speeds.
